How to Protect Yourself From Wildfire Smoke

Wildfires in California threaten with smoke and heat. To stay safe:

  • Check air quality (AQI > 100 unsafe).
  • If at risk (respiratory issues, heart disease etc.) be extra cautious.
  • Wear an N95 mask outdoors.
  • Stay indoors, seal windows, run air conditioner (recirculate mode) or use fans.
  • Watch for heatstroke signs (high fever, dizziness).
  • Stay hydrated and monitor health for a week after exposure.
