A CFD study on the effect of portable air cleaner placement on airborne infection control in a classroom

This study examines how the placement of portable air cleaners (PACs) can help reduce airborne infections in classrooms. Results show that PACs are most effective when placed close to an infected person and should be adjusted to discharge air at the height of seated students. Overall, PACs can significantly lower aerosol levels and improve air circulation in poorly ventilated spaces.
